Horsham Arun Badminton Club ran an unprecedented event at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley on Sunday 24th February. The Talent Identification BISI Festival saw 200 young people aged between 7 and 11 taking part in badminton activities.
The main aim of the event was to encourage young people to have a go at the basics of the game within a fun and competitive environment. Additionally, the coaches and volunteers were able to engage with a large number of young people and use the recently established Talent Identification assessment tool to gauge basic athleticism and co-ordination skills.
This event could not have been run without the dedication and hard work of the Horsham Arun team of volunteers and particular thanks go to Lynda Richardson, Nick Chambers and Tanya Woodward for organising this highly successful day.
Watch the local press for more coverage of the day.
